Often serving as a satirical commentary on the world around me, my paintings translate intricate concepts through unassuming subjects. I am drawn to overlooked forms that project their own quiet tensions—whether it is a decaying tree stump, decomposing shells on a beach, or the imagined perspective of a one-armed crab in the marsh.

Working in oils, I use a palette knife to build up glazes in layers of color. This creates a tactile sense of volume that gives these unassuming subjects a physical, deliberate presence.
